Baby and Childhood Immunisation

All recommended childhood immunisations are provided at the surgery free of charge.

Immunisation is a simple, safe and effective way of protecting babies and children against certain diseases. The risks from having these diseases are far greater than the risk of any minor side effects from immunisation (National Immunisation Office). The nurse administers all childhood immunisations at the surgery following the baby’s six week check with the doctor and an “Immunisation Passport” is provided and updated at each visit to record all of the immunisations given.

If you have any queries about the immunisation programme or possible side-effects etc please do not hesitate to contact the nurse or refer to the HSE website at www.hse.ie.
