A family practice, established in 1967 by Dr Finnbarr Kennedy and practice nurse and manager Mary Kennedy. In 1998, together with their son, Dr Michael Kennedy, they bought the old Boys National School from the Parish and, while maintaining the character of the building, they converted it to establish a high quality modern medical service to the community.
Today the team at the Buttevant Medical Centre are happy to provide a readily accessible, high quality and dedicated medical service to it’s community. The team comprises of Dr Michael Kennedy, Dr Elizabeth Brosnan, Dr Hilary O’Sullivan, Nurse Mary Riordan, and receptionists Eileen Palmer and Elizabeth Hynes.
We are a teaching practice attached to the Cork Specialist Training Programme for General Practice.
We aim to provide you with same day appointment when requested, if we are fully booked we will accommodate you with the earliest available time.
